Preston Dunham, Gary, IN

Dunham is 62 and helps people register to vote in Gary, Indiana, and has for many years. Arriving at the polling site, he shakes the hands of people who he helped to register to vote.

“This is our right that we have to vote, and I think it’s important that each and every individual express that right by coming out to vote,” stated Preston, while standing outside a local polling site on Election Day.

In his voter registration activities, Dunham takes special care to ensure that people not only have registered to vote, but that they change their address when they move and also know where their local polling site is.
