Newton Bell of Orlando, Florida is recently re-enfranchised as a voter after 26 years. He will be voting for the first time this election season.

"I feel great. I feel proud to be an American citizen and be able to vote again," says Bell. Bell was convicted of a felony as a teenager; and, this year, he received assistance from community group ACORN to request reinstatement as a voter.

Bell says that that his family, his community, and the whole world are focused on the presidential election. He wants to see the economic crises and healthcare addressed. At home, sometimes Bell's wife has to go without the medication she needs due to inability to pay. Focused on being a leader and provider, Bell made sure to help register his three sons to vote.

"I believe my vote is going to make a difference in this election," says Bell.
