AZ Margarita Telles 2.jpgMargarita Telles has just become a US citizen, and she knows that she should now register to vote. However, she feels disenfranchised from the voting process because of what she feels are confusing voter laws and requirements. It is now just a few days away from the voter registration deadline, and she has just a few days to work out the complicated voter registration policy that applies to her, or she risks being denied the right to vote.

Margarita is in-between jobs and addresses as she tries to secure a job with her California based employer in Arizona.  Margarita does not have a permanent resident in Arizona and was told by authorities that she would have to return to California.  Margarita was not given the facts on voter's rights and nobody ever explained to her the process of absentee ballots.

"I am upset because there are many things I want to talk about, and I know voting is the way to be heard but I feel excluded from the process," she says.

Margarita wants to return to California where her adult children live but was told by her company that she had a better chance at job security in Phoenix.

"Today is not a good time to be unemployed and I need to set an example for my children so I'm going to try working in Arizona. I can't afford to look around with the price of gas and groceries already becoming a burden."
