Williams voted for the first time this past Election Day. He is 21 years old and lives in Gary, Indiana. Standing in line at the polling site, Williams had a chance encounter with the man who helped him register to vote the first time.

Video footage shows Williams standing in a long line on Election Day and running into the man who registered him to vote the first time.

“If I wouldn’t do this, with my mother and family, I’d probably be the outcast. I don’t have no problem with [these long lines] because I know we’re about to change history,” said Williams as he stood in line at his polling site. “I’ll stay here as long as I need to.”
