Bianca Brown, Albuquerque, NM

Bianca Brown, a young African American mother, works for ACORN in Albuquerque, New Mexico.  A little bashful, she is nevertheless enthusiastic about her work; it clearly means a lot to her.  "I love ACORN.  This is my life!"  She moved back to Albuquerque four years ago to be near her parents.  Her brother worked for ACORN as a caller, and his manager asked Bianca to do some work for the organization as well.  "Next thing you know, I fell in love.  So, I stayed."

Bianca believes everyone deserves to have their voice heard.  Twenty years down the line, she wants to be able to tell her son, now 15 months old, that she helped with "one of the most historic elections," that "Mommy was there; Mommy helped!"
